Trunk latch
I have a w208 (clk430) that has a rear trunk latch that won't stay...well, latched. It seems a metal pivot from inside the latch snapped off.
The rear trunk and lights seem to be very close in appearance with the w210 and the latches I've found are about half the cost (go figure). They look identical. Can anyone confirm if they are interchangeable?
I would hope to reuse my key cylinder since there was nothing wrong with mine.

recommendation would be to subscribe to MBUSA's EPC (electronic parts catalog)
which is free to North Am credit card holders. it uses your CC to verify but will
not assess charge
cross reference the part numbers for both cars
or, track down something called HOLLANDER INTERCHANGE MANUAL (we have at
nearby library for free use) which informs you of cross platform interchange
of parts.
