Rebuilt Motor E320 96
I just put in my newly rebuilt motor done by me into my car.But when I go to start it the motor cranks but it does not turn on.I have double check everything from top to bottom and cannot figure it out so can someone plz anybody give me some suggestion on what it can be.Some parts were not changed because they were working fine as far as electrical parts and some sensor. There was a dought in my mind as for the fuel filter because of the arrow on it and I think it was installed proper but the arrow on it is faceing the rear of the car.The original was the same way.Is is not suppose to face the front? that was my dought .Thanks for your time on this thread.

I would check to see that the valve timing was correct with the spark. It is possible to get either one off. Check to see that both valves are closed on a cylinder when the spark plug fires that cylinder. The orientation of the primary filter would not keep the engine from running.
