Vacuum leak..?

Trying to fix this rough idle, I went to this indy shop. They hooked me up for a quick test. Im still showing codes for p0110 intake temp. I recently replaced that sensor like last month. Its the second time ive replaced that sensor. The last 2 diagnosis showed same code. The mech told me other problems can make that code, someone else told me that too. He said maybe its vacuum leak that's causing the rough idle. It makes sense, when I take off the oil filler cap it doesn't affect the idle at all. So it must be a leak somewhere.
My question is . are there any obvious places that I can check that are common places for air leaks? How do I check? Im taking the car back next week to find the leak how expensive can it get to fix a vacuum leak? Whats the worst scenario?

What was the reason for taking the oil filler cap off to test for vacuum. That has nothing to do with vacuum---have you been talking with "Huitzilopitchli" recently.

On a more serious note---make sure your indy has your cars vacuum schematic---if not---well you take a guess at what's going to happen if he has to use the hunt and peck method with a spray bottle of soapy water

taking the cap off with the engine idling is putting a big hole in the engine, which would affect the idle unless there is already a leak somewhere. But whatever.

yea the maf has been replaced twice. Code still there p0110 intake air temp. The guy said other things can make that code like a vacuum leak. Maybe that's why the maf works for like for a month then goes out, car starts wasting gas and idling like crap. So im going to take the car in on Tuesday. Worst thing could be is intake manifold leak?? How much would that cost to fix. Is my car ok to drive until then? ive been driving long enough like this for like a year, car has begun to sound worse.

That code is purely electrical, related to the MAF and its wiring. If MAF checks good, then it is in the wiring or connectors.
