Radio Code
I am taking one of my 01 E320s from my home in MI back to DFW. Car has been in storage for the better part of the last year. I replaced the battery (OEM from the dealer) this morning prior to leaving MI. Made all the resets (windows, sunroof, seats etc) and entered the radio code. Now, every time I turn the car off the radio asks for the radio code after restart. The windows, seats, sunroof are retaining their resets. The radio is the only issue. Using the climatronic while driving, I can see the alternator is charging at 13.5 volts, and the car restarts with no problems, so I don't think the battery is the issue. Any thoughts?

I am following the instructions on page 134 of the E Class operator's manual titled "Entering the radio code". The instructions are as follows.
Switch on radio
"Code" will appear on display
Using the buttons on the alpha-numeric keypad, enter the 5 digit code
Confirm by pressing the "OK" key
The code is accepted and the radio functions as it should until the car is restarted, at which time "Code" is displayed.

RichardM98, thanks for the suggestion. This will have to wait until I get home to Texas, as this is not something I would attempt on the road in the cold.
