Yesterday the windsheild washer stopped on both the front and rear tailgate(it's a 2001 E320 wagon). I checked 4 fuses using the info sheet found in the engine compartment fuse box. I also checked the fuse box under the rear seat. I found one blown (10 amp),replaced it and---nothing. I can't hear any pump noise so,I'm guessing the pump is kaput.
Is there a DIY on pump replacement? I understand from other posts it's behind the passenger fender. Would I have to remove the right front tire to get at it?
Thanks for any help.

According to the info inside the fuse box there are 4 fuses-2 in the engine compartment and 2 under the rear seat. The one that was blown was in the engine compartment fuse box and was for the wiper/washer. As I said,I replaced it and there was no change. I don't know about the relays. I'd test the pump but I don't know where it is or how to get to it.

Yes,useful. I found the relay in question.I guess it must be near(or in) the fusebox according to the location diagram. I have no multimeter so I'll gamble a few bucks and switch out the relay. If that diesn't work I'll go to the pump.
