Windshield Wiper Level Malfunction
Hadn't been triggered in a while but yesterday it went off again. Don't know where my wiper fluid is going??? I haven't used it in a while yet the level is low. Upon inspection, there a "plug" on the left side of the tank that is either missing or is there as a safety valve of some type. Don't know? Either way, it seems that the fluid might be escaping through there. Anyone else have this problem? Mine is a '02 E320...

I didn't opt for the headlamp washer on my car so I'm sure it the windshield wiper resevoir. Plus, the "Check Washer Level" signal comes on. It had happened a few months ago but I filled it and problem solved. Anyway, it's back now! Not sure where in the heck the fluid is going?

Had the same problem with my bimmer before. The part where the hose (to the squirters) connects to the reservoir pump was leaking fluid ever so slowly (in drips). The tank empties after about a week - try looking for water patches below the connection point. Haven't checked the benz yet but I would assume the design's pretty standard. Good luck!
