performance chips? taboo? e320

So does any one have an e320 with a chip that they would definately say buy this? Prefer one under $200. I have heard great things and terrible things about them. I like my exhaust and not willing to turbo or sc, but I'm ready to say forget mods that might hurt the ride in the long run. Thanks, Shawn.

all they do is fool your air intake temp sensor.A 25 cent resistor conected to your coolant temp sensor will do the same thing advance your timing.depending on engine a .7 gain in the 1/4 mile.

Further info on G Force chips

After posting info on the G Force chip yesterday that I have on my R129 I decided to go back and verify my comments so I took the G Force chip apart and found the attached photos. On the surface it appears as though it is a significant piece of electronics. I tested it with a multimeter and found:
1) There is no conductivity across the leads. Only 6.8 megs registered and that was probably only because the leads were close together in their sheath.
2) The chip is an octo D latching IC and not a processor. In the 10 minutes that I fooled with it I could not find any chip leads that were attached to anything on the circuit board.
After removing the device from the car I took it for a drive and could not definitively notice any difference. I cannot explain the timing differences that I noted other than to say that they were probably climate or road surface differences but nothing to do with the G Force device.
I have ordered the other version (OBD2 plug-in) from another manufacturer for three times the money and I will report back here once I get a chance to evaluate it.
