Parking Lamp Replacement
I have a 98 E320 and the passenger front parking lamp went out. Can anyone help me with instructions on how to access the bulb for replacement etc.? I tried unsuccessfully to remove the cover and clips but not enough room.

i have replaced them before and have not had to take anything else out but it was a squeeze and had fish out the cover very carefully. that though is on a e300 your configuration might be enough different to cause more of a headache.

The one in the bumper you can remove the whole assembly with a plastic wedge.

It is the lower bulb and once you have taken the back cover of, its just a firm pull on the bulb base to get it out (its held by a small spring action on the side).
I guess the issue is not being able to take the cover off, right? All I did was let it drop down then fish it out when done replacing the bulb. It is a bit tight but it is do-able. I agree with Speedlimits though, it really depends on the engine configuration - especially the airfilter box. Got a pic so that we can be clear?
