Leather cleaner and conditioner

I want to know what kind of leather do they use in the E430's?, like is it fine leather or something else. What leather cleaners are the best to use and are not aggressive on the leather. I'm currently using Lexol cleaner and conditioner. I dont know if thats good or not. I have been researching, i was looking at AmmoNYC stuff and SwissVAX leather cleaner and the prices of it were like OMG! If i have to spend that kind of money on leather cleaner and conditioner then i will do it but i just wanted to know what you guys are using. Please re-direct me if there is a post on this topic already. Happy

yea but i have heard that just simply using the simple green will not do the trick when you leather hasn't been cleaned for a while. Also i live where there is soo much freaking pollen and my entire car gets a color change from black to yellow. But i will give the simple green stuff a try though.

the only thing that baby oil is doing is making your seats shiny and trapping dirt. Use the Simple Green to remove it and your in better shape. Also, ever see someone use baby oil to tan faster? Your increasing UV exposure which may cause fading.

I second leatherique.
Using household cleaners on leather is NOT good for it. It dries them out. Applying baby oil will only make it shiny like said above and hold dirt like crazy.
A true clean leather is not shiny at all, more of a Matte look.
leatherique is ph balanced and has oils designed just for leather. It is well worth the 70 dollars.

I just put two coats of Leatherique on my R129 and I am quite happy with it other than I started noticing a smell like an electrical fire inside the car. After the Leatherique totally dried after a few days I took a warm wet towel and gently rubbed over all the leather....solved the problem. The seats look and feel great.
