W210 A/C issues...

Hello...pretty much a newbie here. My 1998 E320's A/C started blowing hot last week. I had it "fixed" by a reputable MB shop (though not a licensed dealer) last year, but I have since moved out of state. I tried the cheap fix today with AC Pro. But, after reading the can, I'm realizing that the compressor isn't cycling off. When that happens, you are told to "Seek professional help". Coincidentally, this is driving me a bit crazy. Ideas? Suggestions? Cocktail recipes?

I just went through this process. I feel like its best to find a good knowledgable indie and troubleshoot. Adding quick fix cans like AC Pro could cost you more in the long run.

No cycling usually means no freon. Take the $35 AC Pro cost and credit it towards more effective troubleshooting from the Indie.

The first attempt determined a faulty high side valve. After that attempt, my Evap was still hissing and blew hot all of the sudden.

Mine was ultimately a leaking compressor that required the hose and dryer to be updated with the newer version.
