Hiw much should I ask or just drive it to the junkyard?

My 2001 E430 Sport is disintegrating. Granted, it has 357,000 miles on the clock, still runs and drives great. But every body part has holes. Ever since last year when the rust came on like the polar vortex, I knew I'd be replacing it. I kept up with normal maintenance, but quite a few things are broken since the rust started.

The front bumper is cracked from hitting road debris a few weeks ago.
The gas tank collapsed when the recirc valves failed, so it leaks about 16 gallons and the gas capo has been drilled.

The dash fuel gage does not work, but the display gage does, the temperature and clock pixels are all out.

The temp control has the bottom horizontal leg of the F on the passnger side no pixels.

Central locking works fine with two newer keys, xenon headlights work fine but need a lens poilishing. The seats work. Temperature control works. Rain sensing wipers work. Stereo and cd changer work. Engine has plenty of power but is using some oil. Trans shift fine. Newer alternator. The headlight washers work. The rear defroster works. All the windows work and are in great shape except for the windshield, whic is original, sndblasted, and has a crack in it. The car also has an early 2000s vintage K40 installed.

I'd drive this car anywhere and do, but it is truly a beater. Nobody would steal it! And they tend to park away from it.

Anyway - shall I try to sell it? What do you think I could get for it? Or just drive it to the junkyard and take whatever they give me?

Replacing with an 80,000 mile S500 and a 108,500 mile ML350.

To me, there are a few questions you should answer to help decide if you keep it, sell it, or junk it.

1. Is it safe?
2. Is it reliable?
3. Do you enjoy driving it?
4. Does the radio work? (at least this was important when I was much younger) I see that you say that it does work, but does it work well?

Really need to see how bad the rust is. Also, if you're leaking gasoline, then that will need to be fixed, that's a safety issue.

Main thing is safety. And that it doesn't leak water when it rains.

Given that you're ready to move on, the auto recycler is probably not a bad option.

Wow 357k miles.

My 2001 E430 4matic has 114k miles. Think I am about ready to move on though. Looking at 2007-2008 S550's.
