Hey, that's not that funny! I'd actually like one of those. I can keep my Carlsson front bumper, wheels, suspension (hopefully), Brabus steering wheel and shift knob, etc...Too bad they're not avail. in the US. That would be kind of interesting, a modded, 4 door, W210 MB pick-up truck...

Btw, what's it called???

Exactly, a "pickup". In Australia I think they were called "Crew Cabs".

Where these came from, there's a 6-door wagon and a number of other weird E's (you may be able to just follow the link on the photo).

I figure it needs to be modded from a wagon.

Wait, some guy posted another German site with weird Benz's before (in my thread on the weird looking wagon, errr, "All you Wagonmen out There" or something). Lemme find it and check out the site for more........

If these were modded from wagons, whoever did it did a great job! They all almost look the same...interesting.

sweet in thought... Looks like ****. I'd still pick a Dodge Cummins over a diesel E-Klasse pickup...

That's what I'm talking about as I need a truck, but Whitey is just trying to give me some suggestions to stay in the Benz family...We'll see.

Yeah but it's not the same. The W211 is going to get very minimal mods I think. Unless we decide to go nuts and then I can take it to gtg's and shows, we'll see.

As for the pick-up, someone spotted one at a dealer somewhere. I am trying to find out where. Here is the pic. that was posted at BNZSport...

You sound serious man but this one looks even better with the AMG wheels. Hope you find one if you're really serious and please do post here - although its deformed, it still is a W210.

"we" huh?????

I looked in the Binz website and couldn't find the pickup, weird......

I'm not sure if I like the LM5's on it, something more robust would be nicer, but that's JMO - Jimmy, are u bidding???????

I'm not very familiar with Ebay but is that a starting bid? Whatever it is, US$1K seems a bit low doesn't it

I agree, it'll be the coolest workhorse in SolCal and I'm sure you'll be the center of attention at the next MB GTG! Unfortunately you won't get to keep your bumper

I'm not saying they're drawbacks but here's a few observations:

1) Pre-00 headlamps;
2) Pre-98 doorlock pins;
3) You'll loose a seat in the back (altho the bucket seats are real neat).

Go for it man, you might even get a nice trade-in since they trade in MB's......

Dang that's *****'s tight!!! Thanks for the link Jake! The only thing is it will be freakin expensive. It's a 2001 with just over 6K miles. I'm sure it will be around (if not more than) $40K. I'm watching it on ebay right now and will bid towards the end if it doesn't get stupidly over priced. I want it I want it!!!

Also, being a 2001, nothing from my car will work on it, except maybe the wheels and shift knob but I'll deal with the LM5's for now, hehehe. Btw Dave, the headlights are not pre-00, they're just standard non-xenon. Too bad my xenons would fit but hey, I could go with the new W211 style projectors! Well, now I'm talking out of my a$$, I know it's going to be too rich for my blood. Let's see what happens before I get too excited...

Jimmy, you were thinking about getting a new truck anyway weren't you? Wouldn't have that set you back just as much?

Sell your pride and joy and finance the rest if you want it that bad.......the good thing is, you won't have to wait for the pre-MY00 projectors If its not too much more expensive, you might explore contacting Binz direct too. May sound stupid but sometimes getting them imported can be cheaper (people in my town and certainly in the UK do it all the time).

I still can't understand why they're using those older style lock pins I don't have them on my 98.

Yeah, I was going to get a truck anyway but nothing that expensive. I don't want to finance anything more than what I can pay because I have a wedding to pay for just around the corner. That's setting me back over $30K ! I already called them and left a message for the salesrep. to get back to me with a buy-it-now price. Let's see what he says.
