New to this forum-would appreciate your guidance. Have just been quoted $1,100 for a new muffler and resonator for my newly-purchased 1999 e320 4matic wagon. Was told existing exhaust system is the original. Vehicle failed inspection due to loud noise. Has your experience shown this to be a project one can do at home upon purchase of the necessary parts? Also, is this cost reasonable? Thank you.
