Where is the antenna location on a 1998 w210 with no roof antenna.

Where is the antenna location on a 1998 w210 with no roof antenna.
I've searched all over and there are tons of posts for the w210's with the antenna that has the little rubber roof attachment. My 98 doesn't have that attachment and I want to fix it as I get little to now reception on fm. Ive been told everywhere from the c pillar to the drivers wheel well. Does anyone know where the antenna and the amp etc is located on these models and how if possible i can fix or replace something to get decent reception.

The rubber fin on the roof is not for radio reception, but for tele-aid and I think cell phone. The am/fm antenna is laminated on the back window. The antenna amp is located behind the left C pillar. You may have some corrosion on the connections which can be cleaned with contact cleaner.
