Parking and Tail Lights Are Out

Parking and Tail Lights Are Out
So my passenger side tail light is out and so is the passenger side parking light. I went to pep boys and got a replacement bulb and installed it in the tail light, thinking the bulb had just died... That's not the problem. The passenger side bulb and bracket work on the driver side...
Then I noticed that my passenger side parking light is out! This isn't a huge concern to me since I won't be pulled over for it... but I'm thinking the two problems might be linked somehow! I can just take it in somewhere next week and have them figure it out (since tail lights are rather important at night) but I was just wondering if anyone else had these issues or knows how to solve them?

The 3 main issues that could be plaguing you are 1, bulb, 2, wiring connection, or 3, bulb socket connection.
Since you replaced the bulb and are sure that its the correct bulb, I would check the connection where the bulb socket meets the taillight circuit board. If its making good contact and theres no corrosion, id look into an issue with the light wiring...perhaps a loose or broken connection either where the wiring harness plugs into the taillight, or further upstream.
