Xenons and Yellow High Beams
Did we lose some posts? I know I posted this a week ago and it's gone.
I've just installed some european xenons (from Steve), and the high beams are yellow - not just compared to the Xenon lowbeam, but compared to the fog lights (in the bumper). I checked the bulbs and they're 55w h7s.
Why would halogens be yellow? Is this normal (Steve seems to think so). I live in the country and need some high wattage high beams to avoid the deer. An suggestions?

Yellow bulbs are better for seeing in inclement weather and the laws in europe are different (still have no idea, I'm just talking lol).
If you want an obscene amount of light you can always do what I did and buy and aftermarket HID H7 retrofit kit and put it in your high beams. You'll see deer in other counties. ;0)

Yellow High Beams
I have the original Xenon headlights on my 2001 E4-430. They produce the whitest light. The halogen foglights are the next whitest. The high beams appear to be the same tint as regular incandescent headlights. I suspect you have the same. The new Es have B-Xenons, meaning the high beams are also Xenons.

Hey Josh, where did you buy the H7 conversion? Also, I still don't understand why the high beams are yellow if they're halogen. It's like Mercedes dropped the voltage. The fog lights are white.
