Carfax-Failed Emission
Hey y'all, I currently drive a 99 W210, I love this car as it's completely turned me into a Mercedes lifer. So much I am currently on the hunt for a newer low mileage W210.
I have found a 2000 E430 4matic w/ 49k miles. Everything checks out on its Carfax beautifully other then in 2005, it shows a failed emission test. Everything else has been golden, is this something I should be concerned over and wipe off my buy list? Thanks in advance for your help !

Short answer...No. Be more concerned about all the maintenance items you are going to have to address. Low mileage 14 year old cars tend to break when you start to drive them on a regular basis. Most if not all rubber parts will need replacement due to age and lack of use. Old low mileage cars come with lots of challenges and maintenance.
