Fuse and relay location for secondary air pump (smog pump) 2001 E430
Hi everyone,
I got a p0410 code on my car and from what Ive read its related to the secondary air pump, or I guess also known as the smog pump.
I ran power directly to the air pump and it works.
I replaced some cracked vacuum hoses, but that didn't do the trick either.
I would like to check the related fuse and relay, but I have no idea where they are located or labeled as.
Anyone with some insight?
Thanks

Ok first of all, when you start the car in the morning the air pump starts? or not
If not, check some fuses and relays in the control units box (under hood, passenger side, unscrew 4 little screws)
If the pump starts when cold startup you need to check for a cloged EGR or the 2 vaccums located at sides of the air pump.

Out Of Control!!
Your ECU provides the voltage instructions to the secondary air pump(M33) relay K40/4k3 and the circuit is fused with K40/4f7(40amp maxi fuse)
Both are located within the passenger side fuse and relay box.
The maxi fuse will be easy to identify---the relays are oriented in the following fashion k1 k3 k2---remember you are looking for k3
