Code names...
Just a interesting thought,
Those 96~02 E-class were coded W210, and the newer E-class were coded W211, so i guess the number goes on and on to W21x. But when i think about the code names for the CLK, the older CLK had the code name W208, and the new one's W209. Just wondering what will the next code name for the next generation CLK? Logically it should be W210?? which is the same as the older E-class W210, what will they use, does anyone know??

2005 is reported to be a big year for changes in the MB line. Maybe they will update the chassis number system then. Thay can always jump to W301 like was already mentioned. The body changes made from the W124 E-Calss to the W210 were different enough that they jumped in to the 200s. The odd thing was that the 190E was already a W201 and looked a lot like the W124. The body numbers have always been kind of strange...
