I type my mind too, and that's what gets me in trouble!
Slightly overdue, but Happy New Year, Kev. May the M113 go 600K miles.

I know that a few Mercedes Techs use disposeable latex gloves when working. As long as you're careful, and have a lift, you should be alright.

So how often should I change my oil on my '99 E430 (which from what I can tell is the M113)? I use Mobil One Synthetic. I drive about 30-40K per year mostly hwy miles.
Off topic on this thread, but damn, doesn't the 2000 W210 look so much better!?!?

Its also got more torsional strength than the '99.
When you're using synthetic oil, you can get away with longer oil changes. Maybe 10-15K miles(BTW, when I was talking about the 20K mile engine failure it was from dino oil).
As far as looks, yes. I will admit the '00 looks excellent. The instrument cluster is an excellent vibrant layout, and the chrome star in the center of the steering wheel along with cluster controls really appeals to my tastes.
But, although it looks better, you could never house a V12 in there or a inline six unless it was pretty short. The CDI's were designed to be small inlines so they could wedge in there without too many clearance problems.
