Sorry that I have been silent- I have been out of state with installations etc. I belive Brad has answered you question however.

With regards to the W211 if we use the existing line as a reference the E430 starts at $54k, the E55 at $72 - an $18K diff, The new E500 is SUPPOSED to come in at about 8% higher than the E430. The E55? (with 469hp sc engine) no one has mentioned its price. The spread looks the same from my end. Having a factory warranty is certainly a concern for many buyers. BTW the existing 5.5 engine will give 530+hp with a KLEEMANN kompressor, 61hp more than the AMG.

Thanks Brad and Brandon, sorry if I sounded impatient. Your points about the next gen AMG are good ones. Now I just need to ponder that $19k; wife is still in shock over my buying the E55 in the first place.

Supercharger vs Turbo

Has anyone tried Garrett Turbo on Mercedes?? I know that they are one of the best Turbo manufacturers in the world.
