I need some advice on removing the compartment just below the radio on the dash. I am trying to access the power cable to the lighter so I can add a power supply junction box. I cannot get the compartment out is there a latch or do you keep pulling till something snaps? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You first need to remove the ashtray before you can remove it. To remove your ashtray, remove the wood trim around your shifter by pulling it up. Once removed just pull your ashtray out. Some ashtrays will have 2 small bolts in the front that may need to be removed. Once that is out....Reach to the back of the wood trim you are wanting removed and you will feel a button type thing. Push it in and pull out the trim.
