E300TD not crancking

Hi everyone , its some time that im having problems cranking my car .
when i unlock the car , it unlocks normaly , when i enter the key in the key module sometime it does not make the normal click that it should.
key sometime turns lights on the dashboard go on normaly ,key on position 3 does not crank . when i switch immediatly from 0 to 3 ,car starts normaly . On the climate controll tension shows 10.5Volt , when glowplug light turns of voltage goes 11.5volt .

Anyone knows what might be the problem of the car not cranking ?

I had a faulty key fob as well and I experienced the similar symptoms. New key fobs are pricey from the dealer!

i dont know much about diesels. but i know that if my battery voltage is that
low un/load it's sporadic in performance and needs to be charged back to
12-13+. so why not do just that and see if the symptoms change?

the info you give is smattering of conditions which may be critical factors to
what you're describing, e.g. ambient temperature, battery health (not limited
to volts), etc

I think he found out it was the key because the spare worked perfectly.
