E430 Misfire
I have a 1998 E430 which will sit at idle all day but as soon as I put my foot on the gas pedal it either does nothing or the engine speed goes up a bit and flat spots. If I put the car in drive it will bearly move under load. I have also just noticed that smoke was coming out of the exhaust for about 3-4 minutes after I switched of the engine I am guessing unburnt fuel , burning off with the haet of the engine.
So where to start is this plugs or coil pack?
Any help appreciated.

I'd bang on the catalytic converters. If they failed the ceramic matrix will plug the exit of the converter shell. I've seen it multiple times on older vehicles. When you strike the converter you can hear the matrix rattling around inside.
