2001 E320 Sport
Hi, I'm new here....
Looking to buy a 2001 E320 Sport which has all options but a few issues. Some of the are straight forward(I think), others not so much.
Head unit is not powering on (Comand Unit) - more than likely dead, found a replacement for $280.
Malfunction indicator shows a lighting problem - fog lights don't come on, right side is busted, replacement is $120.
Sunroof seal came loose on one corner and will probably need to be replaced (can't find a part #) - dealer quoted $150.
The things I am not so sure about are the following:
The trunk will not open by using the center console button, the remote or by pushing the lock cylinder in. It only opens by turning the key.
I pulled up the rear head rests and they will not release by pushing the button on the dash.
I cannot hear the vacuum pump running when pushing the respective buttons......but the pump comes on when pushing the door lock switch on the remote.
The body is in great shape and the interior in in pretty good shape as well.
Can anyone tell me what the issues with the trunk and the head rests are? Or should I perhaps stay away from that vehicle?
