If you are going 4x4, I would seriously consider the audi A6, 4.2 ltr., quatro. I friend of mine is looking at a MY2000, 20kmi, for $27000. Very nice car, and much better track record with 4x4.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Hope that you stick with a E-Class. Other cars just don't feel as safe. You just have to decide if you like the face lift front or not.

The Audis are sure beaut machines but out where I am, maintenance and parts is almost double that of MB and Bimmers (weird????), that's why they rapidly lose their value after the warranty period. Is that the same in the US?
