1999 e430 - Starting issue
Howdy folks! I'm having an issue with my 1999 e430 sedan. She's in pretty darn good condition.. has 95,000 miles on her so far. Throws the occasional BAS error code, but is otherwise well.
Today, I went to start her, after having driven, maybe, 25 miles around town, earlier. Turned the key and released: The engine cranked.... and rather than catch/start.... cranked, and cranked for about 5 seconds, and then stopped. I tried 2 or 3 more times to no avail. Gas tank is full.
Resolved to be stuck for at least an hour in a food market parking lot, I called AAA.
As I'm registering my request for a tow with them, I think 'what the heck' and try once more. She fires right up. I drove the 15 miles home, and parked her.
I waited 10 minutes, went back out and the car immediately fires up.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this issue? Thanks!
