W210 E-55 AC not cold
2001 E-55 AMG
Last week it warmed up enough that I needed the AC. Did not blow cold. I used the on board AC Diagnostics and recorded the following values.
1-75 inside temp
2-89 outside temp
3-96 left core
4-93 right core
5-71 evap temp
6-161 coolant temp
7-09 Refrig pressure
8-107 Refrig temp
I also recorded the following error codes
E61-234 Sun Sensor
E61-416 Coolant Circ pump
I cleared the codes and the following was displayed.
E -FF
This morning I topped up the Refrigerant R134A and now get an outlet temperature of 38F.
I have not located the AC high pressure port yet.
Its not visible to me.
My question is what is the Sun Sensor and Coolant Circulation pump?
I'll drive it today, record the current values and see if I get the same error codes again.

Drove it to lunch and recorded the following values.
1-80 inside
2-89 outside
3-42 left core
4-39 right core
5-35 evap temp
6-190 coolant temp
7-18 refrig press
8-93 refrig temp
I don't trust the first value, it did not feel like it was 80F inside the car. Feels like it is cooling well to me. Time will tell.

Out Of Control!!
The numbers look good except for the relationship between 7 and 8---on Earth a pressure of 18 should give you a temp of 149!!
Yours is 18 to 93----and the strange thing is that 5 is excellent at 35
The sun sensor if functioning will adjust to the sun and affects the start up fan speed
The coolant circulation pump is on your heating circuit--when you and your girlfriend are at the submarine races---that feature if selected will circulate hot coolant when the engine is off and keeps the cabin temp up while you are watching the races!!
