purchase question 2000 e430 87k miles

I am considering a purchase of a 2000 e430 black black with only 87k miles. Drove it today and noticed 2 issues primarily: 1. Window doesnt go all the way up on drivers side. 2. SRS light stays on.

Im most concerned with the light. Any thoughts if this may be a major or minor issue. Also please provide thoughts of other items i should consider.

1- identify which window.

2-best guess: broken front passenger seat sensor. replace with OEM or hack a fix.

thanks for feedback.

1. Its the drivers side front window that wont go up.

2. ok so replacing the sensor sounds like a pretty simple job and not that costly.

Check if the window goes up if you push the button but not all the way in. Sometimes if the window isn't calibrated for the auto up/down feature it appears to get stuck when you hit the button all the way in. Simple fix if that's the case. The passengers seat sensor is a stupid worthless component in our cars but unfortunately it's not that cheap to replace. The seat has to come out and the upholstery has to be removed from the bottom. The part itself is probably at least $200. It's unfortunate because it's designed to work with a Mercedes baby seat for the front seat that isn't even available in the US. We only use baby seats in the rear. What actually fails on it is the wire that comes out under the seat and connects to a yellow harness. That wire was routed in the factory past a sharp metal edge under the seat and often gets cut through. There's no way to bypass that sensor.
