E 420
E420 1997 Car will not start
Drove to the park sat there for about 2 hrs. Got ready to start my car and it wouldn't start. The red and green light on the rear view mirror began to flash. Turned the ignition switch off and tried again and got the same response. The batter isn't dead, and I had a half tank of fuel. First time I've seen the red and green lights flash. Any clues as to why they would flash?

Also, thought it might be a key issue but used my alternate key and got the same response, car not starting and red and green light flashing on the rear view mirror
