No high speed blower
Has anyone encountered this problem? Do you know what the most likely cause is? Expense to fix?

There were problems with the fan speed regulator that mounts on the fan. The regulator is not sold by itself. The whole fan comes as one part with it built on it. I don't think it is too cheep either. There are a lot of fans for sale on ebay but the regulators have been used off of them. So watch out for them. You should be able to get the whole assembly from a salvage yard to save money.
