W210 alternator replace
Any suggestions / tips greatly appreciated
2003 base wagon w210- battery/alt warning, decided to just replace 170K alternator (original valeo), in stead of 160 voltage reg.
1)Should I sweat poor ratings on pelican parts rebult Alternator (bosch rebuild)?
2) pulley swap- I assume shipped rebuilt is w/ out pulley
3) resync post battery disconnect / reconnect
4) any threads / tips to save frustration greatly appreciated

I bought mine at AdvanceAuto a few years ago. You can check online which store(s) have it in stock I pulled mine first and brought it there. Did have to swap pulleys but they lent me an impact drill and socket in the store and did it there. It was easy. Because I brought mine in I didn't have to lay out any core charge. It's been perfect fir a few years now. I think it's lifetime warranty. Note that the replacement looked quite different from the original. There was a note in the box warning of such. Fit and worked perfect though
