So far, I've ordered the following:

Maintenance parts

Hi,
I'll share with you my experience/choices for my E320 repairs.
I do a lot with Amazon and have used AC Delco and K&N oil filters, but my last change I used Mahle which I liked best of all.
Air filter, cabin filters and fuel filter: Mann
Charcoal filter purchased through Amazon. Don't remember the brand but they fit perfectly. I am waiting on a Gates fan belts through Amazon and just installed a Gates upper radiator hose which fit well. I have order coming from RM European for a Febi tensioner $70, and Truckman grooved idler pulley $11. (free shipping and no tax) I researched both pulleys and decided to go with Febi since it's well known and a direct European replacement part. Truckman also makes the idler pulley but more expensive than the Febi, so since RM European offered the Truckman idler pulley for cheap, I went with it.
I can't comment on the quality since I don't have them in hand, but feel I made the right choice. I purchased a Gates radiator tank cap and didn't like the way it fit (seemed loose) so it's going back to Amazon. I have not purchased a transmission filter kit, but had my eye on the Beck-Arnley kit.
I am a retired tech and have used Beck Arnley parts since the 70's with favorable results. I did my tranmission fluid change yesterday using a "Topsider" vacuum type fluid extractor. I was able to extract 3 1/2 qts using the dipstick/vacuum method. I did a refill with the same amount I took out and then did it again after running the car for a short time. The fluid looked good after doing the extract/replace method. I used Valvoline MaxLife automatic fluid which is approved by MB. Autozone $20 gallon. Coolant used was Zerex G05 also approved. These are my personal experiences which mostly worked out well with the exception of the Gates radiator cap and the dipstick tool I bought from Amazon (EWK brand) where the measuring tip dislodged from the cable and is now stuck either inside the dipstick tube or in the pan. The tool worked for 6 or 7 uses and the trans was at the correct level. I decided to check it one last time after having cleaned up the garage. The last test resulted in pulling the dipstick tool out and finding the plastic measuring tip had gone missing! My experience tells me it wont hurt anything and I'll deal with it next time I pull the trans pan down. Hope this helps.

Update

I did the conventional transmission service a few weeks ago and used the Beck Arnley kit which fit fine. I also repalced the connector plug since trans fluid was weeping up the lines and contaminated my TCM. I was able to open it up and clean the fluid out using electronics cleaner. Also cleaned the harness top and bottom and was able to fish out the broken measuring tool tip. I had to remove the dipstick tube to get at it. Everything back together and working great. Noticed axle boots torn and one front shock leaking. Ordered Bilsteins from RM European (they had the best price) and two new half shafts, ball joints and sway bar bushings. Cost $460 shipped. All parts are installed and car feels great. Now working on replacing brake lines since they are very rusty (not leaking yet) but I'm for preventive maintenance. Also replacing rear hydraulic shocks with a kit from Strutmasters $530 delivered. Consists of springs and bilsteins to replace the hydro system. Too many rusted lines and various parts prone to fail due to rust. I plan on re-routing hydro lines back to PS pump and bypass all the rusty lines in rear.
I'll update with pictures soon.
