CAN bus expert needed...Help!
My 1999 turbo diesel has a strange problem. About once a week I loose control of the front windows along with mirrors and seats. Sometimes it's just the passenger window sometimes both. The other day the turn signals and trunk release stopped working. The fix is simple, just disconnect the battery for about 15 seconds and the car is good to go for about 3 or 4 more days. I am getting good at removing the back seat to get to the battery!
Does anyone out there have an idea what module would be responsible for this problem?

Is there a DIY for replacing this module or an image of it so I know what I am looking at? I wonder if by disconnect this module and reconnecting it, would it simulate disconnecting the battery? It would be simple proof that it's the problem.
I have tried removing fuses to see if I can duplicate removing the battery. I didn't find a fuse that did the same as removing the battery.

Out Of Control!!
The removal is quite simple---use a plastic wedge to remove the plastic plate and remove the module--just be careful not to crack the plate---plus there are loads of you tube vids on the subject.
Yes removing the connector would be like removing the battery----because all you are doing is removing the voltage source from the control module!!

Rather than removing the rear seat to get to the battery, why not just open the access port and disconnect the battery ground wire from the car? The plastic cover is located on the lower front of the rear seat approximately in front of the battery location. Should be an 11mm nut IIRC.
