1997 E-420 - Xenon Light - Used Ballast Testing
My driver side Xenon light went dead. I already changed the bulb, but still dead. I believe it is dead ballast or some call it igniter is bad.
I have purchased the used ballast and like to test it before installing in the head light. Can I just apply 12 VDC and check the ballast?
Do I need to install the bulb in the bulb connector?
Can I test ballast without bulb by applying 12 VDC and watching igniter trying to ignite the Xenon?
Yellow wire is +12VDC and Brown is -12VDC.
Please can some one let me know how to test used ballast.
