Windshield washer fluid

Windshield washer fluid
What's the deal with the MB solvent. Is it necessary? I usually use Prestone De-ice washer fluid year round. which is good to like -35deg. F.

OK, I know there is a strong feeling about using MB fluids, ATF etc.. Just wondering if there was something I was missing. Can't wait to try out my MB hockey pucks!!! Thanks again for the help... LB

To make it more clear, I am very strong believer in MB coolant as I have several samples how it helps in hot weather (use it in my Ford trucks, while towing 9 tons in 3-digits weather)
I use only MB or Febi ATF, buy only MB pilot bushings, but washer fluid???

Be always happy to help you Plutoe, although after 6 years you still can't get it that well maintained MB can run well without engine fan.
I am not loosing my hope with you yet, but.. the "well maintained" might be crucial issue that you can't get?

I know the sausage maker will chime in however all you have to do is read the fluid specs and you will notice the difference----it's all added value or perceived and some folks love it and some folks can't afford it!!---very personal buying habits for all products!!
