Problem with starting the car
I should add that my Lucas pump is leaking diesel and needs to be changed.
Anyone has any idea what might be the problem?
Sorry for my bad english.
the 12.5 v range. you should also check the voltage while you are turning
the ignition key to note the difference in voltage. report back.
do not make the mistake of disregarding the battery just because it is new.
there are other ways you may still have either a low battery or a low voltage
reading.
part of the repair process is to eliminate the known values and not presume
that something is working. each step should be verified.
Here is the video of the problem. Battery was on charger whole night and still the same. Like its losing power for a second then gets it back. Key is on position 2 - contact.
I will check battery voltage when I get it to car electrician in monday but it doesnt look like its dead battery.
Another problem could be the starter, with no sound cranking, it is a possibility, or it it clicks with no start. Most times you can hit your starter with a hammer but be gentle and you can get1 to 2 more cranks out of it, that is about all I have got with a bad starter and hitting it with a hammer. Sometimes the bearing is stuck and the hammer will loosen it for a start. Starters are pretty cheap though and after you buy one they will usually last a very long time. If you get it off, a auto zone, advance auto, or orileys can check it in store as well to tell you as a secondary opinion
