02 e320 transmission cost
Ours has 210k on it and works very well
Except for reg servicing and 1 reflash cant complain
I cant help but cringe at the cost of a new/rebuilt ??
I was told 3k for used and over 4k for a new one is that true?
Have no garage so Id have to pay labor also
Anyone know where, how much dont know what options are out there
I keep wanting to get rid of it (although the car is bulletproof) chalking it up to good luck, and er someone else believes its going to go another 200k. Personally I have had horrible luck with autos (all american) except for an Acura RL and this e320. Current DD I have 180k on getting ready for trans #5
If I found a reasonable solution then Id feel more comfortable about keeping the car as a stand by or a beater 3rd car?!

aside. I know about quite a few of those transmissions reaching and exceeding 300k miles. If you do lot of city driving, you might have to worry, but thanks to computer program adjusting rpm the wear out is much lower than on older mechanical transmission.
Most common problem is pilot bushing contamination, so keep replacing it every few years.
