2002 MB E320 Keyes Entry Key
Greetings to all on MBWorld. I'm new to this site and wondering if anyone can help me out with an issue on attaining an additional key to my '02 E320. I went to the dealership to purchase one along with my ID & registration and was told that i would need to have the car present before i can order another key. Why is that? I only bring it out on the weekend when I'm off as i drive my '95 Cadillac Sedan Deville during the weekdays. I just find it oddly funny to NOT be able to buy my extra key when I have all original proof of ownership. Someone care to comment if this is legit or not?

very accurate. the majority of the time they will request that you bring the vehicle in. what
they frequently omit is that THEY CAN instead, send a person out to the vehicle site. it's
probably such a disruption to them that they don't offer.
don't know where you are but in the USA, MBUSA policy is very specific about certain parts
and how security conscious they are...and demand from their dealers.

Thx for replying, raymond g. I'm located in Waco, Texas. Guess I'll just have to drive it up there. Just thought that seemed odd that I couldn't just buy another key even though I have proof of ownership. Thx, again
