I had 2000 MB E320 4 matic with 170k miles. When driving hear humming noise come from the engine, car start to shake then shut off. The car start when turn on but humming noise and stall then shut off. I wait about half hour then the car start and drive again. The car recently changed spark plugs, two front motor mounts, fuel filter and pump. Please help if you had this experience or problem before or any advice what to check.

You say---had--did you sell the car?---because all the things you think you changed do\does not produce a humming sound,therefore you must still have the humming sound, if so have you put the car on a lift and tried to find the source of the noise---if not that is what I suggest--find the humming sound first before buying parts!!

Update, since the humming noise and engine shut off now the car drive fine. I do not know what happen and hope won't see it again.
