need help from MB expert e320 issues
hello I have a 1999 e320 with the gas v6 engine.i could use some expert help. the display on the instrument cluster shows defective oil sensor. so I went down the Alldata trouble chart all fuses ok,checked wiring to sensor for damage or oil soaked ok,dropped pan replaced sensor. the light is still ON. the oil is filled to the middle of dipstick reading. I have tried with oil to the top no change. and I drained and checked with level at bottom of dipstick still no change,i have checked battery connections ok and battery life tested ok with my interstate digital full electrical system tester,i scanned for codes cause engine light is on for a po100 mass air flow sensor code wich I am going to take care of soon.i would like defective oil sensor solved first. alldata shows there should be no interference between the two systems so maf should not cause defective oil sensor light.i have done all diagnostics that alldata and Mercedes benz has to offer.i work on cars and I know there are tricks to the trade so I am hoping a Mercedes mechanic might have a idea or something for me to try.i know its not the cluster only thing I can think is new sensor from Mercedes is bad or I am missing something.any help is appreciated thank you for any help

Having oil 1/2 the way between the marks I was getting the low level warnings.
I am afraid in your case you need to get SD scan that can read the sensor and tell you what is wrong. Could be as easy as resetting the old code.
