Subwoofer Location
I've scanned and haven't seen anyone address this. I am interested in upgrading my audio in my 00 E320 Saloon (w/ Bose) I plan to change the head unit, front door, and rear deck mid-bass speakers.
The question is
Has anyone attempted or successfully taken the 6.5s out of the rear deck and installed 8" or 10"(preferably)?
I used my car regularly and want better sound with actual Subwoofers but also need the not-so-ample trunk space that exists. My plan is to open the existing holes up and attach mdf to it and hang the 10s from there so they fire up to the back window (through the factory grills) with the amp down in one of the side "cubbies" near the tail light.
Any thoughts or pics if it has been done or a better way to do it?

I have heard that you can fit 8" subs in the rear deck with out any modification, I have not tried it yet. In my car I picked up an extra set of Bose woofers from the junkyard and installed them in the empty holes in the rear deck, its not as good a having real subs but it was very cheap.
