Panic button in fob not working

Just going through the list of things that don't work or need repair on my E430, I just put fresh batteries in the fob, my unlock range is now a good 30', trunk range is 20 ish. The panic function however does not work, the batt check light lights up on the fob I guess to indicate that it's transmitting, all fuses are good, none missing, is there anything else I should look at? The horn works, I should also add that the tow alarm button does nothing. I can't centrally lock the vehicle with the fob (switch is broken off the board in the fob)

checklist of things to inspect: PSE pump, alarm (behind pax/right wheel liner), fuse for that circuit. you did not mention anything about headlight flashing (indication of alarm
function)

PSE is fine, locks with the central locking button on the dash and unlocks. Just need to replace the fob to lock centrally from outside the vehicle. All fuses are good (Underwood, rear seat and left dash) there is a horn behind the bumper on the right side. Nothing happens when I push the panic button, no lights flash and no horn sounds.

the lights not flashing is a big clue (they should). the alarm is behind the
front wheel liner on passenger side which needs to be removed in order to be
seen and tested. did you try locking the car with windows open and reaching
in to unlock the door?

here's what I have to do to lock the car.

Open drivers door and manually lock each door, close drivers door and lock with the key blade.

When I finally got the CLS working again, I discovered a bad door switch, all doors physically and electronically closed, I reach in and push the CLS lock switch and I can open a door from the inside without anything happening. I can lock
And unlock the door from inside using this switch, and the doors automatically lock when I begin driving.

I'll take a look at the alarm tomorrow. Is it a module or something I'm
Looking for or just that horn looking deal?
