Hi
I don't know if it is normal on 4matic E320 but when in slow heavy traffic, and when I accelerate while the car is in motion, the car makes a "kon" sound as if the differential is locking up or something....Maybe the suspension is loose?

Is this normal or have anyone experienced the same sound in ther Eclass?

Have an 01E320 4M and it does NOT do what you describe. Believe its not normal. Have it looked at.

Does anyone else have any sound that's "close" or similar to what I'm describing? The reason is when i went to my mb dealer, they said it is fine. But having driven automatic all my life, this is the first car I am experiencing this.

 

did you ever figure out what this clunk was? my 2003 c320 4matic seems to exhibit a clunk when coasting in traffic and then applying the accelerator and what not.
