Hey Steve thanks for asking. I lowered my car with H&R springs and I just didnt like the compression and rebound that the factory Bilstein Heavy Duty's gave while driving hard (turns and high speeds). The sports are shorter and are stiffer which accomodates my lowered car and the increased amount of compression/rebound that one gets when a car is lowered.
Have you ever seen a car that is sooooo low that it looks like its bumping up and down even on smooth roads?? Thats not what I felt of course but the Heavy Duty's they just are not matched correctly with the H&R's. The sports provide me with excellent comfort and great handling (although you may hear others say they are too stiff). You can go with the Kleeman shocks which are the pinnacle but they are also over a grand per set. My E55 is a weekend runner and I dont need that..........yet
