W211 wheels on W210

W211 wheels on W210
Hi all
I am quite new to this forum but I have searched this site for a while and got lots of information.
I wander if anyone has put 17" (W211) wheel on a W210 car? As far as I know, they are different in nut bolt size (14mm vs 12mm) and offset (38 vs 41). If you have done so, what did you have to do? And is there any potential problem?

Thanks, guys, I talked to Steve. I guess I'll try to give some info here. All he did was getting a short set of 12mm (52mm? long) lug bolts locally. He shaved off about 3mm and voila, he has driven his car several months now at high speed (over 100mph) without any problem.
BTW, Steve just had a newborn recently, I would imagine we should wish him luck.
