"W" switch?
What happens if you throw the switch from "S" to "W" ?
Will it now start off in second?
Since you just had it overhauled, why not go back to where that work was done?

yeah, some of the parts are dirt cheap...it's the labor is where they getcha! 
when I had the infamous headgasket done on my w202, the gasket and seals were only $200....and $900 in labor!!!
kinda sux
but when it's all said and done, in the end, you'll have that smile on your face that your benz is all fixed and happy
