thanks jb, but i was looking into the 651661F chrome that is standard on the early e320 or 420 (between 1996-1999). the wheels on tirerack carry only the aftermarket wheels.

007, as you have requested Car and wheels from Tirerack except the car has been modified to a MY97-99. IMO, looks good. I can also do 17" for the Evo, 18" for the Inox, 19" (both) if you want.......looks even better.

Not sure - need to see them in 3-D....but looking at the close ups of the wheels the MM might be a bit too fancy....the AT's look clean...you going with the 16"s? You might not be able to use the same tires again tho since these might be wider....but not sure - what's the size of your tires right now? If so, you might as well take the chance to go with a bigger wheel cuz it defintiely looks and handles better.

BTW, I don't think MBZ12's are black, just a black accent i.e. on the insides and side of the hole as described in the close ups of each wheel on Tirerack.

18's. The Evo don't come in 17's anyways. I am doing a pic with real car using MBZ12's wheels (more 3-D to give you a better idea)....partly done but its getting late here (it looks good so far). Watch this space in about 18 hrs time......

Thumbs down

I've been looking for stock 02 wheels for over a year. A friend advised that the 17 wheels from an 02 will fit my 01 which has 16's.

If anyone exchanged the stock 02 wheels off for much fancier wheels - I will make you an offer, or if you want to donate a set which are just cluttering up your garage - I will of course pay the shipping. I can't afford the fancy ones on a nurse's salary, and my 01 came with the ugliest stock wheels ever - they look almost like wheelcovers.

Are you kidding or what? Not sure about how much you make in Florida as a nurse, here in CA Nurses can make around 100K/yr. I should know, I employ them.

Not to go off subject but it depends on the type of nurse you are employing. CNA's start at around $25k a year and LVN's around $50k. RN's don't even start making $100k in the beginning. My fiance is in PA school at the moment and some of her friends that already graduated started at around $80k, and that's a PA!

Since the subject was brought up...my girfriend is an RN (specialize in Cardiac) for several years now and depending were your specialty is and inconjuction with the industry's shortage of nurses...these people are bringin home the bacon! Hospitals & long-term care facilties are offering huge bonues becuz of the nations lack of supply and too much demand for nurses. We recently purchased property in Las Vegas becuz of these incentive bonues that can amount to a yearly salary and only requires her to work 3-4 days in a month.

I don't think so. I have to support her for the next 2 years while she's in school and then we'll have over $80k in school loans to pay off...

Join the club, brother! My wife just finished her Master's a year ago at Chapman here in SoCal. We've been married for two years and guess who's been flipping the bill thus far? That is one expensive mfing university. I'm just hoping that piece of paper, I mean degree, will pay off in the long run...that's what I'm banking on. CL600 one day.....

Yeah, mine's at USC at the Keck School of Medicine and they aren't shy about charging for every stupid thing. We are getting married in July and guess who has to pick up the bill and it's about the price of getting a nice used 00+ E55. Not to also mention that I am buying a house, paying off her car and supporting her for the next 2 year. Oh, I almost forgot that insanly expensive custom made diamond ring that I bought her when we got engaged. Whew, I need a second job...

Sorry again...

Then I need to re-locate to Cali. RN's in Florida (I work in a Cancer Hospital) only make $45,000 - $50,000 yearly.

We are one of the poorest states for paying our nurses - which is why are shortages are so bad here. So like the other women you mentioned on here, we pilfer our education and Benz's from the lovely men we have married.

Ps: Ultimately it will pay off for you guys though <big grin>
