Rotational Tires

Just wondering what would happen if you run rotational tires in the opposite direction? Meaning...arrow backward instead of forward? Just wondering.....

"directional"

The word you looking for is "directional"

If its new, you just lost the functionality of the thread. If its used, i was told you have the posibility of bursting the tires at high speeds coz of wear patterns. my 02

You will rip chunks of the tire off with dangerous consequences.

This is turning into and educational thread, lol...Anyway, I've never heard of "chunks" coming off the tire but I've heard of a lot of vibration and pulling, depending on the type of tire.

yeah,,,chunks sound like a bad side effect of re-treading.But there is no doubt, that in a case of a water channel grooved into the tire, you would probably get more traction with a snow board because the water would trap and lift.Bad.
Plus the vibes like Jimmy said.

This IS very good read. I have heard that it's not good to run them against the arrow but never knew what the consequences were. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle....where did I hear that????

I saw a guy at the tire store wondering why the tires on the right side of his car failed so soon. They were directional and were all 4 mounted in the same direction or for the left side of the car. The rear tire had triangle shaped chunks ripped out of it and the front one had a strange wear pattern with the tread rolling up. Needless to say, he had to get 2 new tires.
