Unhappy Is there a Dipper in W210?

Hi Fellas,

I am reffering to the multifunction lever that also operates the side blinkers and wiper on my 1997 e420. If I pull the lever towards me, nothing happens. I swear, I have used it before to temporarily engage the brights. If I push it, bright come on and stay on.

I almost never use brights, but it bothers me that this feature is not working - or am I dreaming and that feature was never available to me?

I have also recently replaced one of my Xenon bulbs, but I cannot imagine messing something there, as it was pretty simple.

Any ideas?

Your high beam burn out, or mal function. Start w/ the fuse first.

Is the circuit different

I mean for brights to stay on versus temporary come-on when I pull the lever?

I am wondering if a fuse is blown, why is the onboard computer not telling me of such malfunction.

So I am assuming from your reply that "there IS a pull-brights function" and mine is not working.

Now comes the trouble shoot...............

I second that and it doesn't have anything to do with your headlight bulbs. The high beams come off the centers.
